So you're saying the dyno my car was tuned on isn't accurate because the calculations say I should be trapping at 131. And well into the 10's. So tell me what you feel is the issue with this setup.

Actually what I alerted you to is that, like Confucius says, Sum Ting Wong.

I can't call out a dyno on its accuracy without factual data to say one way or the other.

But if your car is an example of performance versus numbers shown on the dyno then Yes either the dyno is Broken or your car is broken.

An evaluation is in order to determine why.

I would need to see your car and the tune on my dyno to properly evaluate.

Ted.

I normally, don’t ask questions on the open net but, just curious if 676hp/540 tq sounds about correct for this build?

‘15 Z28; Ls7 .010 ovr (429 cid), 11.6.1, BTR wildcat blower cam, forged MOL pistons, treated crank and rods, Ls7 heads shimmed- cnc port/polished- upgraded valves w/v job, Kooks “2long tubes- catless, centrical PC- P1x stage II cooler w/ bigred pulley for 7lbs, tuned 93 octane.

What are your thoughts?

I think the combination of 11.6:1 and 93 octane is really holding you back.

I would expect closer to 800 RWHP on a 429 cam blower if combination was right.

Stock LS3 376 cubes, with cam blower and headers easily make 700 RWHP on 93 octane fuel.

Hey Ted,

I have sbe with ECS 1500, 3.7 pulley, ID1050, dual pumps, and all the other supporting mods. I’m running flex fuel right now, and pushing 730ish. I’m trying to break 800whp.

1. Will I need larger injectors?
2. Should I pulley down to a 3.47 or 3.33, or stay with the 3.70?
3. Will my 1500 overspin?

You need to move to a larger blower, Novi 2200 or YSI, or you will have a very unhappy combo.

We made 814 on 104 octane back in 2010 still running today with a YSI.

It could probably make 840 on E85 over the 104 octane.

So don’t pulley down?

Don’t really want to upgrade the blower since that’ll open up another set up mod doors.

You gave me your goal, I gave you a solution.

So I guess you really don't want 800 RWHP.

Ted.

Please go easy on me because I've searched relentlessly and I haven't seen a solid answer.

I have a 2014 Camaro SS. I know the 1LE's come with the ZL1 fuel pump - but I've seen multiple people here who are convinced the 14 and 15 SS non-1LE also come with the ZL1 fuel pump. So what is the real answer?

I'm considering a Vortech blower kit and if my car has the ZL1 pump then I'd assume I just need a FPCM and BAP and I'd be okay (goal is 600-650 rwhp on a safe tune with room to turn it up to 700 rwhp max)

Also - if the SS does not come with the ZL1 pump - can you run an SS pump with a DSX aux kit, and what would be the hp limit of that combo?

Sorry for the newb questions but appreciate any feedback I can get

Certainly,

Yes your car has ZL-1 pump and fuel tank

If tuning with SCT add our FSCM and ID1050 injectors to support 650 RWHP

If I am tuning with HPtuners I can tune your current FSCM.

Add a JMS fuel pump voltage booster and support 700 RWHP.

Ted.

My 2014 SS non 1LE did not come with a ZL1 pump, I just swapped it out for a ZL1 pump last week and the little motor inside was taller than the SS. Different part numbers too. Again, its a non 1LE car and they are different

Correct All Standard SS models do not have ZL-1 pump but can be added.
