This video shows how. It’s really easy. The shift knob is held on the drivers side by a t25 torx screw (don’t drop it!) and then the shift boot is held by about 5 clips that just pop loose.

removed a dead mouse this morning.
against my better judgement, i'm going to leave the back seat in the living room and let the bleach/vinegar/clorox wipe/febreze/death combo of scents air out. i can already tell, those magnaflows are gonna make listening to the radio even more difficult. sigh.

Very tempting idea... I already did the gauge cluster bezel and it's a major success, no peeling except a tiny bit at the end where I manhandled it during reinstall (sigh).
