Do you need a cheaper car to track?

Or, one to train a youth in?

I've got an 09 Saturn sky redline (turbo) manual car that I've put all the upgraded suspension items on, catch can, bigger radiator, oil cooler, big brake kit (with track pads that are still in the box) upgraded IC, new clutch with lightweight flywheel and a slightly bigger turbo with exhaust upgrades and a tune making 375bhp. I also have 3 sets of tires and wheels including a set of lightweight track wheels with brand new nitto NT01 tires that have never been on the car. The car has never been on the track yet!

$7500 obo.

Car weighs 3040lbs and would make a great car for someone just getting into tracking or wants to reduce the cost of track days, or just a great 2nd car with a convertible top.

If interested, pm me and I can send pics and answer any questions. Thanks!

Not quite sure how to post pics, but if I figure it out I'll put some up.

If I haven't sold it in a few weeks I'm thinking it'll become my roadcourse car, like a go kart on steroids, pedal to the floor with very little breaking. The ZL1 can just do the straight line stuff.

With all the expense put into getting it ready to track and then never having it on the track, I'm a little bummed!

Keep it and Track it, otherwise you are giving it away with no Smiles gained

I'd suggest to put a roll bar in it first.

The giving it away part is true. $8500 in upgrades, so a $1000 discount on those and a free car.

Quite truthfully I'm torn on selling it.

If it doesn't go in a couple of weeks it'll be my track car. All that's left is better seats and harnesses/bar.

I bought a new to me Race Car about a month ago - Guy probably had $50k into it and I bought it for $8k. He had bought a new Porsche GT3RS Track Car and his Wife said my car had to go. He gave it away and I was glad to take it.

Seats are fairly cheap, Roll Bar cage can get pricey. The Cage in my new car was over $4k

Now I have to decide to keep my Fun/Street car or not!

Congrats on a nice deal! Never seen mods increase a car value. Quite to the contrary. Albeit your deal was truly fantastic Enjoy!

Not many race seats fit these I'm told and a roll bar absolutely makes it a one trick pony, so a full on roll bar isn't on my list at this time.

Wait, yeah. The car just needs to go to a good loving home that will feed and care for it and sleep in the garage on cold nights...my garage is not big enough for it, the ZL1 and Tacoma.

This car is still available and chomping at the bit!!!

Just think, 2 years of tracking and only needing to replace pads and tires 2 years from now...do it!
