Typically you agree on a price and then you get whatever incentive is available in the month that you take delivery.

In general GM incentives SUCK when compared to Ford. Last Sept when I was looking I considered a new base model GT because Ford's incentives were great and the Camaro had jack sh**

I seriously doubt there will be any incentives from GM on the 22’s. There just isn’t enough inventory out there.

Yup. Back in February when I was debating between a 2021 Camaro 2SS 1LE and a 21 Silverado Trail Boss (I know I know apples and oranges), Camaro had $1500 rebate and Silverado at $6000 rebate. Ordered the Camaro. The Camaro rebate stayed steady at $1500, Then down to a $1000, now at $0 rebate. Silverado stayed steady and then the rebate and $1000 in accessories. Then when I found out possibly not getting the Camaro, bought the Silverado last month $4000 rebate. Now down in June to $3000. Who knows what is going to happen, but at time of delivery/signing paperwork, whatever rebate is offered at that time is what you get through GM. I think other manufacturers give you the rebate at time ordered. Hope this helps.

I ordered my 2020 2SS in Nov 2019, I had 3 dealers tell me that since I was special ordering I HAD to pay MSRP (one even went so far as to tell me that was GM's "rule" and any dealer not honoring that "rule" risks losing their dealer license!), I found 3 other dealers who were willing to deal and obviously went with one of those, in the end I got about 10% off of MSRP (including rebates) so I was pretty happy with it, I knew I would pay a bit more ordering, but I wanted exactly what I wanted and no one had one in the entire country, so ordering was an easy choice (I wanted to order).

The dealer requested a $500 REFUNDABLE deposit at time of order.

dealers will do anything to keep profit lol this doesn't even make sense as they should be honoring supplier/employee pricing and supplier pricing is super easy to get
