Window Tint???
This might be the wrong forum to ask but... I will be tracking my car so the side windows are down anyway. On the fence about doing the rear. The rear looks like a real pain to do even for a pro and I dont want visibility issues.
However you cant really see out of the rear anyway.  Thoughts? |

In my state it is ONLY legal to do the rear. The tint guy I used had no problem.

Laws vary state to state... But if you are tracking the car isn't it the case that you can't have tint on most tracks??

Had mine 15% added to my rear, it looks great and there are not issues with visibility in any condition.

I did a 20% tint on the ZL1. All of it came out looking great.
I daily this car and I don't have any more visibility issues with the tint. The tiny, tiny windows and Bradley inspired armor have way more of an impact.

Dealer did mine 4 sides and rear. Not sure of the % but it looks great and I see just fine out of it.

You gotta tint it and your professional tint shop will have no problems. You said it best anyway; You can't see anything out the back window except a giant wing anyway, so a little tint won't make any difference, do it.

Local tint shop did both side windows and rear in under an hour. No issues, looks great.

I have no issues seeing out of any window with my 20%. If an installer has an issue with the rear, they probably don't know what they're doing.

Pretty sure i have Hooper Optic on my sides and rear at 20% and then uv film on the windsheild. Looks great.

Just had Suntek CXP film put on everything except the sunroof. 35% on the sides and rear and 70% on the windshield.
So far no visibility issues. The film has cut down a considerable amount of glare from direct sun and headlights.

You should ABSOLUTELY get tint. Get the ceramic or nano-ceramic with UV protection if at all possible. Well worth the price of admission. I got it and I have a vert so the top is down most of the time. The car is much cooler after sitting in the sun even for a short period of time.

Well worth it imo, especially for me here in FL. I told the shop I wanted it dark as possible legally, which I believe is 35 on front side windows and 15 in the back little windows and big back window. Like someone said above you cant see anything out the rear anyways so tint wont make that much of a difference lol it is kinda dark though. I got the sunroof done too. Get the stuff with UV protection.
