Saving a PDR file

Need help with saving, converting and uploading a file saved from a track day on the PDR.

I installed VLC on my Mac and want to save it and upload it to YouTube.

Any help would save me time on messing things up. Right now the files are on the SD card and ready to work on?

IIRC, the files should be in .mp4 format on the SD card when written by the PDR system. Should be able to trim them in almost any movie editing software (don't recall what the preloaded software on a Mac is called) and upload to YouTube in that format without any special steps. VLC can also play them if you want to watch them that way.

I would suggest also keeping a copy of the original file saved somewhere and downloading the free Cosworth Toolbox software to view it. This software does a lot, especially if you run any track days. It'll pull out your fastest lap automatically, show more in-depth detail on a lot of different vehicle specs, give an overlay onto a satellite image of the track, and can even compare 2 PDR files head to head!

You don't have to convert it to upload it to YouTube.

However on my Mac, I noticed if I use Quicktime or iMovie to edit the photo there is no audio. So I use handbrake to convert it to a different format.

PDR

Just trying to figure out how to edit and save the file after I bring it into VLC media player. Looking for simplicity. QuickTime Player does not have sound?
