Guess the reveal date

It's been too quite in here lately, so I figured, why not make a post about reveal date guesses.

I'm guessing the 50th celebration next month. We will get all the information about the 1LE and ZL1 with a surprise Z/28 reveal so it will be a full 2018 model year run.

I'm thinking maybe Detroit. Not sure if they would announce it that soon when they will be showcasing the ZL1 and the 1LE at the 50th. But I really want to know what the Z28 is all about so fingers crossed it is next month.

I think the Z-28 stays under wraps until next year when the new GT500 is announced.

We have no clue when the GT500 is coming. Besides, the Z/28 and GT500 are completely different cars. No reason why one would respond to the other.

i think they are too far along to wait on the reveal until next year. Ordering may not start until Q1 '17, but i guess reveal in 2016.

They'll probably want to get the ZL1 & 1LE launched before getting into the Z/28. So its unlikely to be this summer. The car seems pretty far along already and could probably get launched before the 2018 model year, which makes Detroit, Chicago, and New York a bit unlikely. In between you've got SEMA and Los Angeles. Either could work, but LA seems a bit more likely to show off a complete car (SEMA could have been a great venue for the 1LE though).

So my bet is on the LA auto show in late November, with potential for a launch in late winter/early spring.

I am hoping that after all the ZL1 and 1LE info gets released this August and everyone is at peace inside. GM at least would have a Z/28 there behind ropes so we can see it.

A "look whats coming guys, we are not done yet" display.

It seems like the car is right about where the ZL1 was right before it was revealed. It's already been to the The Ring, we've seen it driving on the streets and it looks to have its production wheels already done. If I remember right, when we saw the ZL1 with its production wheels, it was revealed a few weeks later.

Well, I'm kinda feeling like the 1LE and ZL1 came pretty quick after the SS. They may want to keep the same pace/onslaught of Camaro Performance models.... it could be like the Turbo 4 press release, where they open the "curtain" to a surprise reveal of a Z/28 (Z28). Don't know if that'd work twice or everyone would be expecting it.

Revealing the Z/28 at the 50th celebration would be awesome but I feel it might steal the thunder from the ZL1 so I'm doubting we'll see it then.

I believe it will be at the 50th because it is the 50th for the Z28 also and now they have just released the performance and pricing for the 1LE and the ZL1
