Plastic coated leather?
So I saw some info and then the sales guy mentioned this weekend that the leather has a 'plastic' coating on it and it can be cleaned with Windex? Anyone with a 6th gen confirm this???
How is it wearing with your first month or so in??

Yes that's correct, but I would not use Wendex, just use a good multi surface like 303 protectant and water to clean it first. Some use nothing but water and microfiber.Here's a link that explains it. Virtually every car produce these days has finished , plasticized leather. If you want to buy an expensive leather conditioner go ahead , but you're buying it for the scent because you're not touching the leather when you use it.

I believe in the 5th Gen only the tops of the seats, head rest and centre console lid are real leather. The rest is pleathreth?

ALL of it is pleather.......it's not fake leather, it's just coated leather. So wherever they tell you they have leather, they have pleather. Don't let this Rattle you, every car sold in America that I know of is plasticized. They can't get through the warranty Without it.
