6th Gen Window Louvers

This has been a fun topic to talk about and get people's reactions in person. I have received a set of IKON Motorsports louvers for the 6th Gen Camaro with being very open about not being sure if I would put them on my car. I have seen images on Instagram and liked the look, but just am not sure about the actual item on a current generation Camaro.

That being said, I got the product and laid them on my rear window and snapped an image for IG and got a crap ton of responses. (More favorable responses than negative). But I am sure that will be different here.

Overall I am still not sold, but once seen in person people who have hated them start to like them. They add an aggressive look I didn't think was possible from the rear. The bonus is you can also still see out of the bunker hole they cover. I will note, I am still not sold on installing these on my build. Not because of quality, but mainly due to looks.

Here is a unboxing and overview of the product, and I will work to craft an install video shortly and review. Not sure how the mounting will last and if it will make any noise over time.

What do you gals and gents think of rear window louvers? I'd love to hear your opinions over one-word responses

I think I'm in the same boat. I like the angle of the first image, and the aggressive look they give off, but it still only gives me curiosity, not desire. I'd possibly try them out when I've completed way more of my build.

Btw, I've been watching your videos before I even got my car. Keep it up man.

I'm worried about highway speed (or less) rattles.

Also, wish they had hinge mounting for easier cleaning. I miss my old '69 CobraJet Mach 1 with the factory louvers and chin spoiler, but it wouldn't compare to my 17 ZL1, ah the times they are a changing.

From what I can see they have everything to stop rattles, its more how they mount and long term sun exposure I have concerns around.

I think it looks good with your black spoiler. Don't like the look with the stock wing painted body color (top photo of white car). Maybe wrap the wing black. Or paint the louvers body color. Have to see photos of different configurations.

Anybody good with photoshop want to mock some up?

I've never understood the appeal of this add-on. I think it looks hideous.

Cool enough to find interesting on someone elses car but not cool enough to want to install on mine is where I'm at right now.

It's funny to see some of these mods coming back around. I had rear window louvers on my 1976 Camaro (my first) back in the early 80's. Reading the thread title I have to say I cringed a little at the thought but also have to admit that they do look much better then I thought that they would. Color me surprised.

While I have you here, just let me say thank you. I watched all of your videos on the sixth gen Camaro with great interest as I was researching my purchase. Thanks for your great work for the Camaro community in general and for the forum. As a result, I'm a new, proud owner of a 6th Gen Car and I absolutely love it.

I like them - but I also like retro look

Just needs a Tuned Port Injection badge on the back. I'm showing my age and love for 80's Camaro s

I posted on Matt's YouTube I had them on my '83 Z28 and liked them. They served a real purpose on that car with its long swooping rear window and useable very exposed to the sun rear seat.

On the 6th gen I see less function and feel they are more about style. They do look aggressive, but for me...... teeter on that fine line of "you went to far with the mods" look

Haha, that was my first reaction too. They look well made, and certainly have a modern, aggressive style, I'm just not sure.

I'm looking forward to seeing it installed and some pictures outside. I'm also curious about visibility with it on. I'm in for more product feedback from you!
