Couple of Questions from New 1LE owner

Hi All,
I'm a week into owning a 2017 HBM 1LE and LOVING this car!!

I've noticed a pretty distinct and annoying rattle sound coming from the infotainment screen. If I put gentle pressure on it, the rattle ceases and I noticed the slightest bit of play/looseness between the screen and the dash...is there a known way to tighten it or apply moleskin around it to eliminate the rattle?

Also, I feel that the car is pulling the tiniest bit to the left. If I get an alignment under warranty should I just let the dealership take it to "factory default" or is there a good starting place I should request? I intend to track it at least once after break-in (maybe HPDE) and go to a couple autocross events a year.

Thanks for the info!!

Actually every time I test drove a 2SS, I always thought they pulled slightly one way, but I either got used to it, or I was just imagining it.

Gorgeous ride, btw.

Find your High Performance Supplement Manual. It has a recommended track alignment for the SS 1LE's. I daily drive my car and will be running that alignment as it's not so aggressive that it will ruin tire wear.

Lift the bezel that surrounds the buttons and control knob below your MyLink screen and you will find two screws. It is likely that they need tightening and all will be good. You can apply upward pressure with both hands to the bezel which is held on by clips.

Almost every one of these camaros is off from the factory in terms of the alignment. Mine needs an alignment. Plus the low pro tires follow the dips in the road very bad and it could appear that you need an alignment. But I'd take it in and have the track alignment done. They might make you pay for that one though. I'm sure under warranty they would do a regular road alignment for free though.

Thank you all for the compliments and as ever, the much appreciated wisdom with these cars!!

I'll try tightening the screen a bit and see if that's all she needs to eliminate that rattle. As for alignment, I've noticed it can be influenced on occasion to pull right at times so it may very well just be the tires tracking to road grooves/crowning.

I added the mishimoto catch can at the dealer before driving home, blacked out the bowties, installed ZL1-addons rock guards, and gave it a good ol Klasse all-in-one/sealant treatment to get started. This afternoon I'm adding the 1LE war stripe to the driver's side hood. Plan to change engine and differential oil at 1500 and let the real fun begin!!

OP, are you talking under full power or just driving down a flat road? If so, some small amount of pull might be felt due to bushing compliance. This can be cured of course with stiffer bushings and some sacrifice to NVH.

If pull is evident cruising on a flat road with equal tire pressure on both sides, you need a 4 wheel alignment (most likely) or something is bent.

Tell your dealer about the rattle.

Pretty car.

Upward pressure on bottom of bezel or top?

Oooh yeah, a window tint would be sweet.

Fraxum-just under normal driving I'm feeling it pull a hair to the left at times.

I removed the panel beneath the screen, tightened the two 7mm bolt heads and it did not remove the little bit of play that can still be felt between the dash and top of the screen. I haven't gotten to road test it yet though to see if it helped-fingers crossed. Otherwise, I got my PDR working with a 32gb card and the rest is sublime!!

The bezel surrounding the buttons is what I'm referring to, not the bezel surrounding the screen. With that said, upward straight upward pressure to lift the bezel above the buttons.
