Question Prices - good % off new Camaro SS

What would you consider a good percent off a new 1SS or 2SS?

10% off MSRP? 15% off?

More/less?

I'm in the beginning stages of shopping around for a 1SS or 2SS. I may or may not go brand new. Seems like slightly used can save a ton on these. I've seen a lot of 2016-1017 2SS's with 5-10k miles going for around $36k and 1SS's going for around $31k.

Thanks

20% is best but honestly with April sales up, less incentives I would not expect to see 10-20% off anytime soon if at all on the remaining 2017 models. Inventory is dwindling by the day, my local dealerships have NONE coming in and very limited 1SS & 2SS inventory. Dealerships are only offering rebates that GM is offering nothing extra to get rid of inventory.

I went to Michigan to pick up my 2017 SS (2SS Convertible, A10, Perf Exhaust, Black wheels, Accessories) $52k MSRP after rebates ($3.5K- $1000 Loyalty, $1500 rebate, Red Tag) I was at $45k before my down payment w/ tax and $10k down I was at $38.5k financed.

44k MSRP and walked out at 38 after tax. Depends on where you go. Broaden your search

folks might want to say what incentives they received - that can skew what the actual negotiated price is.

Was last week in March for me.

They dropped it 4k off sticker right off the bat which put the car around 40. Then another 3k in incentives. Passed on stuff like GM down payment assistance ($1000 incentive) or whatever else mandated going through GM Financial as their percentage rates were through the roof (initial quote was something insane like 9%). Lost another $500 for some Farmers thing. Of the options I wanted, I lost on MRC and Nav. Neither were game breakers for me, but that might not work for everyone.

Went through the guys in the link I posted. Well worth the 3hr drive when my local dealers were listing used 16's for 2k less with 15k on them.

Someone posted a dealership in Miami (I think, definitely in FL) that has rock bottom pricing. I would say that is the benchmark.

$46.5K MSRP at $40k. Would have been only $37 if I had a Mustang and some other incentive they were doing that I didn't quality for. The rest was dealer discounts. I went to Bomnin Chevrolet in Miami. Both dealerships, actually. The first one had to watch me leave because their deal sucked a little too much.

That was probably during 20% tag sale last fall like many of us bought. Chevy is already doing 20% on other 2017s except for Camaro and vettes...

GM may have to rethink incentives on Corvettes.

The list all rebates in that price when you do not qualify your price is much higher I inquired for the heck of it on a SIM 2SS.
