TPMS Impact on control systems??

Hi,

On a thread recently, someone mentioned that not having TPMS would impact the cars control systems. This doesn't seem to make sense to me, but I wanted to throw this out to the community to see if anyone actually knows vs. guessing. I am having a track wheel set build (more autocross than track), and decided to save on the TPMS, and this recent post is making me rethink that option.

I can't say from the Camaro. From my Mustang though the lack of TPMS didn't alter anything besides the idiot light on the panel. Obviously two different cars and Camaro may not at all behave the same.

All is good and none is good. If you have one fail and the others are still linked and reading, that's when it messes things up.

I would recommend getting metal valve stems and not rubber ones for your track wheels. I had a rubber one fail, luckily not catastrophically.
