Stock to a little louder but in good taste

Just picked up a low mileage z/28. Wanted to make it a tad quicker and better sounding bit not so loud it sounds vulgar. Was thinking headers. Recommendations appreciated.

Look into a complete ARH exhaust system.

For that price I could add new racing cam's, racing mufflers and a tune to get an extra 50 HP.

Parts are always more money direct from the manufacturer. You need to go through a vendor for the best prices. I always call because most times vendors can only advertise discounts up to a certain amount online. If you call, you can sometimes get parts for even less. Just FYI.

If you haven't already, you can remove fuse F8 from the trunk fuse panel to give you a better sound.

I simply wished my exhaust was a tad deeper/louder, and if I could add another 5-10-20 horsepower, then I would be thrilled.

So far maybe I will do the following.

1. Pull Fuse F8
2. Add Headers or Full Exhaust
3. Add a Cold Air Intake
4. Remove all Badges including Flowtie in front grill (I hate badging, sorry)

Who makes the best Headers for Z/28?

Who makes the best Cat-Back Exhaust for Z/28?

1. Check.... even though I never noticed a difference in my car after I did this.
2. If you have the money, full exhaust is your best bet, but, just headers and no cat will also turn your Z into an animal.
3. The stock Z/28 intake is fine, I wouldn't change anything unless your going to start playing with, TB and intake.
4. I agree with this.

American Racing, yes they are pricey. But, this is a Company that always outperforms the competition, is made in the USA, and.... supply all the headers for the COPO's, Cobra Jet Mustang and Dodge Challenger Drag Pak.

I’d delete the the secondary cats from the stock downpipes. Makes the car louder and you get a little more burble when decelerating and in between shifts. No check engine lights, no tuning, and I bet you there’s at least 5-10hp in doing this.
