Dealer service add ons?

So took the Camaro in today, the passenger seat handle sticks and I still have 1 year on a warranty.

Service tech has the car until tomorrow and suggested that at 17k miles, I might want to get:

1) Throttle body cleaned
2) Decarb engine
3) Flush injectors

All for the special price of $299 (discounted from $360).

Is this legit work that needs to be done?

J&R Performance does all my maintenance anyway, but I am curious.

1 and 2 should be done at 50,000 miles.

3 - Every time I change the engine oil, I buy a bottle of Chevron Techron Injector Cleaner and pour it in my fuel tank. Follow the instructions on the bottle. It's great stuff.

I can tell you, working as a service advisor at a dealership... that $299 service is not needed..
The techs like to push these services as they are easy money for them.. (plus there is really no other money to be made on a car with 17,000 miles)
In my opinion there is no way a modern engine needs to be de carbed at 17,000 miles..

direct injection engines benefit from cleaning... but it sounds like a dealer who likes to upsell everything.
I run techron twice a year in the tank, flush brake fluid once a year and my throttle body hasn't been dirty yet.

It's 99% fake, your paying a tech $300-400 for using like $20 in parts and 10 min of labor.

1. take a clean rag and wipe your TB down in less than 5 min 1x a year if a concern
2. Google Seafoam
3. Google Injector Cleaner

I install Techron in the tank 2X a year as a preventative. The other add ons quoted only need done if car has concern such as stalling, misfire etc.
