Autocross square setup?

I play at autocross, I have for almost 20 years. I always use the widest tires and wheels that will fit under my cars. That said... I am in research mode looking to find out if a 18x9.5 et35 will fit all corners of my camaro. I'm thumbnailing a 285/40/18 for all four corners. Oh Unless DS opens up for the V6 camaros I'll be playing in the equally hard (impossible) to win XP just because I like wide tires and wheels.

Locals to CCR know I blow up cars I hope this one holds together.

Many thanks for your responses

Hey Philip, you had the Black V6 that ran in FS at the last event at zMax right? I'm JT, I had the grey 1LE there. If it helps the 1LE wheels are 20x10 and 20x11 same as the wheels on the ZL1 and I would imagine that if those fit on my car then a 18x9.5 would fit yours just fine. I know some guys have ran Hankook RS3's in 305/35r20's on all 4 corners with a 5mm spacer up front for clearance. I am pretty sure you will be running RE-71r's and they don't make anything bigger than 285 but it could be an option especially if they ever do end up releasing those 305's I have been hearing rumor of. Will you bet at the 2 day event this weekend at zMax?

Phillip,

I am the guy that first installed and tracked a 5th Gen Camaro with 305/30/19s on Forgeline wheels with my custom offsets back on 2009. The Z/28 runs on my offsets.

We would love to work with a relative 'local' and can help you with your research, setup and more.

I am running 305/35/19 square, with a 19x10.75 wheel offset 15mm. No issues, and exceptional increase in contact is noticed.
