Did my ZL1 ingest a bird nest?? LOL
I noticed some black fibrous material sticking out of the driver side exhaust. Does anyone now what's up with that?

Yep, Muffler packing. a few people have had this issue. Your dealer should cover it no questions asked.

It's like nose hair, just pull it out, but it may grow back. If you don't want to do that your dealer will replace it under warranty.

I was showing my new ZL1 to some fiends last night and they saw the same thing hanging out of one of the tailpipes and were asking me what's up? Thanks for posting helpful information. This site is so great.

I can't believe how many people say this. They have screwed up my cars numerous times, but I thought it was just bad luck.

If you do the exhaust fuse pull you won't even use your mufflers, so nothing should come out, but you'll get a lot of black soot in the outer pipes.

ppl who works in GM general shop are ppl who really dont care about your car they do the job as quick as they can and dont even care about your cosmetic, like guard pad on fenders to protect the paint or paper plastic on your seats to avoid oïl damage! YES oïl damage because they sit in your car to move it out or in.All they want is to finish the day and go home waiting for the week-end!
