Well i wanted for someone to prove this to me because it surprised me too that I couldn't find any source that says the 2012 v6 camaro has a faster 0-60 time than 6.3. I thought if i was wrong someone would be able to prove it.

the 2010 apparently is. its common sense bro, more hp + same car = faster.
if the 2012 time doesnt do it, just get a 2010..

My parents won't buy a used car and I want to believe that the new Camaro is faster this year with that overhead cam thing but I read that the new v6 Camry which runs a 6.3 is faster than the 2012 Camaro.

Initial acceleration with the BMW is likely better due to gearing/good auto trans with quick shifts and low-RPM turbo-torque. Gas and air forced into a cylinder under pressure makes a lot of torque, and they can make a very fun to drive car that has good initial acceleration, only issue is that the power from a turbo 2.0 usually starts to drop off seriously around 5K or so. On the other hand, where can you drive 80+mph consistently? This makes a well-geared car like the 3-series pretty fun and nice to drive in most scenarios, even though it won't beat a V6 camaro at rolling/high speeds.

can't get excited about a free car because it gets to 60mph in three tenths of a second less than your moms BMW eh? and your surprised your not getting sympathy here? your parents must be proud of the incredibly ungrateful and unappreciative child they've raised. I see a very promising carer in law in your future.

No I couldnt get excited because I expected more from +95 hp and I have been driving the BMW so Im trying to get information so that i can make an educated decission on if I should have them buy the camaro or not. HOW COULD I BE UNGRATEFUL BY THINKING ABOUT SAVING THEM 28,000 BY DRIVING A CAR WE ALREADY HAVE!?

That makes alot of sence, i figured what you just said plus the camaro being build for the bigger v8 engines make it alot heavier than the all v6 BMWs explains why the 0-60 seems so close. Glad to get a good answer.
