This is by far the coolest thread I've ever seen. It's one thing to see new wheels on a car but it's an entirely different thing to see someone design and fabricate their own wheels. This feels like a show I would stop to watch on tv.

I love watching wheels being produced from those slugs of aluminum. That's for cataloguing the process. The wheels look great! Very CTS-V-ish with the concavity is a nice touch. Thanks for posting!

Ok everyone. Here is the link to the YouTube video. This is the 250 Ton Rotary press video I was talking about. What he is spraying on the press is graphite to help keep the metals from sticking together. Sorry it took so long to get up. Been busy. Next will be the polishing and assembly. Hope to have wheels by the end of the week.

Check this out. My wheel maker called and asked if I wanted to laser engrave my signature into the wheel center cap today. He said since I basically designed them that he could capture that with my signature in them. That is cool. Declined though, just couldn't get myself to do it. What a concept though.
