Lets see.... having to stop well before a traffic light to see it and still having to kink my neck
Having to twist and duck to get in it
Side and rear visibility
Stone chips on the nose
Laggy volume on mylink
Body line shows every ding
Being able to do 90 in third.. seriously where am I supposed to use the last three gears?
Windows open and close when you open and close the door
Brake dust! OMG I’ve never had a car that was so bad

I KNOW and KNEW before I bought it that theres a price to pay for the styling of the car so Im not really complaining about those drawbacks, just mentioning them.

I get all of that except the windows opening and closing (it’s called indexing). That’s a good thing!

There are some things I dislike about the Gen5 Camaro, but I have to laugh at the complaints about visibility.

Improving visibility would totally ruin the aggressive look of the car. In fact, the Gen6 has even worse visibility.

Having said that, the car should never have been sold without a backup camera. Early 2010s didn't even have backup sensors. Thankfully, my 2010 is from the last two weeks of production, so it does. I would be totally lost without them, but camera would have been better. At the time, it wasn't legally required but some cars had this feature.

So, things I don't like that should never have happened:

No backup camera
Speedometer needle so fat you can's tell whether it says 50 or 60mph
Noisy USB audio connection
No spare tire (WHT, so many other cars with this problem as well)
Manual passenger seat even in 2SS trim makes wife hate car more than necessary
Crude switching between 4 and 8 cylinder modes (compare Challenger, where it's imperceptible)

I know it serves a purpose but I look at it like automatic locking doors, I think it can lead to early failure of a component or parts.

I fixed a bunch of these but the list was:

- Mushy cradle bushings (fixed: solids)
- Too narrow wheels for SS (fixed: Gen6 1LE wheels)
- Wheels too heavy (fixed: Gen6 1LE wheels)
- Rear end ratio too tall (79 mph in second - really?) (mostly fixed: converted to 3.91 better)
- Limited slip wears out (fixed: TruTrac).
- Too tall shifter (fixed: 1LE shifter)
- Mushy rear suspension bushings (fixed: 1LE/ZL1 rear toe links, z28 rear upper control arm bushings, front radius arm inserts)
- Pinging/reduced timing (fixed: catch can)
- Too much body roll (fixed: 1LE roll bars)
- Understeer (fixed: maxed out camber -2 deg + stiffer rear bar)
- Cornering at the limit could be better (fixed: lower center of gravity w/lowering springs)
- Flywheel too heavy (personal opinion - waiting for clutch replacement)
- SS seats not up to track work (ok relevant for track)

Love the cool look of the Gen 5 and love the big interior. LS3 = perfect.

My early '10 SS has a CD player. I'm old school also but I've never used it in 9+ years.
