To clear it up l, I’m working with pray for the build. The 416 is being built how he wants. It will be his Cam too. I wish I could send him my heads but I’m hoping the TSP heads willl do their job. I’d love to have him personally tune it but I’ll have my tuner work with him to get it done here. I do have an ngauge which will make it easier if I need or he’s just a few hours south of me. I agree pray and GPI are crushing it.

KYWildcats aka Zach is about to do H/C on his M6 6th Gen. Best so far is 11.26 @120 MPH. I'd expect him to enter the 10s NA....

Hopefully I will be getting my hands on a M6 car soon to start working on some stuff in the tune to get these things down the track. I have them rolling out on the highway. I have some remote M6 cars I am working through and will hopefully be getting to the track soon. We will see what happens with Bob's car. Cam is pretty mild for the combo but should ride out pretty well.

And I'm saying that the best in the business built the A8 cars that are proven to out 60ft and even out mph M6. Which you need one or both to run a killer time. Which the M6 suffers in both departments. You feel that by doing a 416 is will drastically out power the 376 which just isn't the case. Prays setups are making what some LS7 H/C setups make and showing you the 2 LT strokers that dynoed from 2 different companies the power gain will not be leaps and bounds over the 376. In those cases Prays stage 1 out matched them both. You would need a big difference to make up what the M6 lacks in the 1/4 when compared to the A8. A8 fbo cars are 60ft 1.4-1.5's and trapping 123-126 while the same mods in the M6's are doing 1.6-1.7's and not trapping over 121. And most M6's lay down higher dyno numbers mod for mod then A8's. Ms Joy's car makes near 800whp and is struggling to run in the low 10's. Zach's car was on a 200hp shot!! How much power and torque do you think that car made on a 200hp shot. At 137mph he was making some steam. He ran quite a few 10.8's@129-131 on smaller shots. So its not like I'm hating because Im not. Just looking at real world numbers. Power can only get you so far... there are people that make a ton of power and have 9 second mph but are only capable of mid to low 10's. Hell look at how many H/C C6Z's out there making over 600whp NA and run mid to low 10's. 427 cubes, light weight rotating assembly,3100lbs. I think you will definitely set the M6 NA record and I will be rooting for you no matter what it runs!! Hopefully at some point they will offer some rear gears for the diff so the M6' can get a better 60ft. Same here!!! Last edited by TEEZYSS; 02-21-2018 at 03:13 PM. |

Don't forget a lot of guys do lots of weight redux and don't talk about it. Good luck!

One point that Ted (JRE) has made is the importance of a good racing clutch. The auto guys routinely change out their convertors, yet M6 guys wait for the clutches to die before changing to something better suited to straight track performance.

I plan on some weight reduction. The suspension is done now too. I don’t have a 15” conversion but that may be happening in the near future. For the clutch, I do have a Centerfirce clutch that really hasn’t had to deal with anything too hard. Fingers crossed she holds up.
Yeah I realize I’m at a serious down fall in comparison to the A8s. That’s why I’ve been trying to donevery little thing I can to close that gap. I won’t have any idea until it gets on the track. I did trap 123 with an 11.7 when I was FBO on 93 feathering the clutch. I think once everything is done it will Show on the slip, or ill just cry and throw nitrous at it until it blows up.

I think you have the highest trapping 6th gen on 93 NA period. Id like to see that slip. I'm not hating!!! I don't do dyno numbers I'm a track guy and street guy. As I said I will cheer you on!! Last edited by TEEZYSS; 02-22-2018 at 05:34 PM. |

Sadly I don’t have it so I guess Who cares. I threw them all away before deployment.

The engineers at GM did you M6 guys no favors with gearing.
In my opinion, to be competitive with the A8 times you will need a 4.30 Ford 9" differential conversion unit. It sounds like a steep ratio but the math says it would work. On a 28" tire you would have a trap speed of 126@6500 rpm and an effective first gear ratio of 11.43...2.66×4.30 final (the A8 is currently at 12.63....4.56x2.77 final). Your first gear effective ratio is now at a paltry 9.92 (2.66x3.73) along with your TM issues, that is why you can't 60' for shit. The price tag for the swap is a lofty $5670 when I last checked, not exactly chump change just to play catch up. For comparison purposes; a 4.10 gear ratio with give you a 10.90 combined first gear and a 132@6500 trap.
