Nice to meet you last night at Atco. Track prep was pretty crappy, but they did some touchup spraying around 8PM I think. My wifes Rav4 had no problem putting the power down and holeshotting every car for at least 50 feet.

Hope to see you there later once I break in my SS in a couple of weeks. I am M6 so I will be happy with mid 12s.

Agreed. Definitely nice meeting you.

I got faster every pass but was still bad. Hopefully in a few weeks it'll be better before I start modding.

Those are great times...beat a bone stock Grand Sport by 3/10s. I guess the Grand Sport is my bench mark even though my full bolt on C6 base ran 11.9s. It was a 2006 LS2...very nice car and lots of fun...shoulda kept that one.

Check out the advice for launching the A8 in this section. 1.8's are easy with these tires and good track prep. 1.7's are possible. Great run!

If you can combine the dry cold crisp air of NJ with the superior track prep of Bradenton Motorsports park then these camaros would run high 11's all day stock.

Just put a drag radial on and you will run 11's.

[QUOTE=68camarofan;8970575]If you can combine the dry cold crisp air of NJ with the superior track prep of Bradenton Motorsports park then these camaros would run high 11's all day stock.

I was a lifetime NJ resident until 5 months ago and raced many times at Atco and Etown.

I must say Bradenton was the best prepped track I ever raced on.

Before my Florida move I raced my stock 2014 F150 STX 4x4 5.0 coyote powered pick up at Etown , Atco and Island. I could not hook at any of those tracks like I did at Bradenton. I managed a 14.57 at 94.68mph with this truck in the humid Florida air.

Sorry for veering off topic a little and mentioning my Ford...I love Camaros but have a thing for Ford trucks.

Back on topic...Just put a drag radial on and you will run 11's in NJ with the cool spring air.

117mph is a very impressive mph. I've been to both Atco and E-town. From my experience, Atco has the better track prep, yet my fastest time with my Shelby was at E-town. Both great tracks.

Im going tomorrow. I now a have a tire but not the one I wanted but its got to be better than stock.

Nitto555R 305/35/20. Also now have a cold air inductions intake and vmax ported throttle body.

Also ordered a new computer so I can get the car tuned but that hasn't happened yet.

For me on my M6 TT 1LE (stock clutch) I recorded my best times on the NT555R, 1.7s. With the MT ETs I could do no better than 1.8s on a Centerforce twin disc. Terrible clutch by the way. With a Street slayer I could not get past 1.9s. That clutch, while rock solid was either on or off.

I have my '16 M6 SS now too, maybe I will see you tonight. But with only 450 miles on it I want to put miles on first. So I will just watch. My SS does not feel as fast as my stock ZL1 or my bolt on LS3s, but maybe more miles will loosen it up a bit.

Agreed on how it feels. My 16 did not "feel" as fast as my bolt on 15... but it is a lot faster. Over 1 second in the 1/4 with a simple tune and PTB, and almost a second faster than the 15 (axle back and Rotofab) while stock.

I had a 1.79 60ft and a 1.81 and these tires hook pretty good but I think drag radials will pick up another tenth.

We will have to see what I can do with an M6. I will be happy with a 1.9. My bolton 1LE ran 12.3s. I think I could have picked up a couple of more tenths with more practice, but then I bolted on the turbos.
