2020 Non Bose 1SS
Anybody try the harness from s u b t h u m p dot com? Looks to good to be true. It's a harness into the amp for non-blows system.

If it has the amp in the back you should be good to go. |

Any 1SS 1LE will have no amp at all in the trunk. It is powered purely by an amp chip in the radio module behind the dash, next to the glove box. This harness will not work with it.

Damn, you ruined my day. To save weight?
So does the audio system totally suck in this car? I had a 2016 1SS non bose and a 2017 ZL1 with the Bose. The ZL1 sounded pretty good. The 1SS not so.... |

The 1ss 1LE audio is the worst I've ever heard. I replaced that with aftermarket components, dual subs, and an amplifier before any powertrain modifications.

The SS 1LE system is not great, but it's nowhere near the worst I've heard in a car. It doesn't go loud or deep, and the highs are also rolled off. The speakers lack clarity, too. But seriously, they play music, which is more than I can say for a number of other OE systems. If you are the kind of person that need dual subs to think a stereo sounds good, you're gonna hate it. But there's a big difference between sound quality and sound quantity. There's also a big difference between a system that plays music well with minimum weight vs a baller system that adds 100lbs to a car with a track package. You pays your money and makes your choices.
I upgraded the stock dash and door speakers in mine and it sounds worlds better, even without an amp. A small digital amp with active crossover and equalization is next. And I'll be happy.
