My Ported Lt2 and Stock 95mm/adapter w/pictures
I purchased a Ported Lt2 IM and ported adapter from a forum member, I went ahead and used adapter since it was RTV sealed already. I had already slotted my 95mm to use it instead of an adapter and may try it at a later date with out it. It matched very well to the snout porting and my stock 95 so I just left it like that. Went out a did a couple logs and feels pretty strong. I hope to get back on the dyno next week for some tweaking and some rwhp numbers. The logs looked good so we may not need to many changes but you just don't know until you get on the rollers. Made 431 on E85 and Rotofab so we'll see if it makes a little more with this set up. It was ported by Chuy thru Amp
I've not seen this adapter that rotates the TB slightly

Interested to see the results. I’m sure the auto will love it as it spends more time up high due to less drop from the gear changes. I like these manifolds.

Not sure what it will make since its so hot here in Missouri right now. Maybe if we can do some earlier morning pulls but once its past 11am here it heats up pretty quick. I'm guessing it will make 10 to 12 rwhp but should really perform better at the track then the hp indicate as my cars usually do.

Did you have stock non-ported LT1 intake manifold?

Will do, it was a pretty easy install. Had to modify the brake boost line and you need the Map Extension since its on the opposite side then the Lt1. This one came already ground on the bottom for the fuel pump clearance. A brass barb had already been installed for the brake booster so I just bought some 7/16 ID and slid that over the plastic line that goes into the stock manifold, I had to use a clamp on the barb since it was smaller then the plastic nipple on the original line. The nipple on the drivers front sticks up on the Lt2 so I cut it and used the original fittings and just cut the line in half and connected the two with a 3/8 ID hose and that worked out great. All worked out good. I'll post some pictures later.

How long did the intake swap take for you? Anything you'd suggest watching out for or anything? Also, what are your goals for the car as of now, mods wise and 1/4 mile wise? |

Yes, I had planned to use a ported one I bought way back in February but never installed it. I had planned to before the Camaro Fest with the 95mm TB I purchased a month ago or so, and then ran across this Lt2 that was already to go. The 95mm TB is bone stock. So now I've got everything I need to make some a little more power. Just not sure how much, looking at the forecast I think mid week early AM will be my dyno day.

I did plan it but never ran it. I did have a ported Lt1 and ported TB on my C7 before I went to the Msd and Ported 95 mm. If this Lt2 is a disappointment I may install it at some point. But need to work this one out. My C7 actually ran 11.00@125 with that Ported IM/TB. They can make good power if you get the tune right. We only ran a 10th quicker with the MSD but picked up 3 mph. Weight hurts this car badly compared to my C7 which is over 400 lbs heavier then the C7. I'm never happy with anything so most on here have gotten used to me continually swapping out shit.

Lt2 intake is a shoe in for the camaro’s. Nice inexpensive upgrade. Should get you a tenth or 2 in the 1/4 mile.

Doubt I'll find out its true potential till it cools off here in Missouri. That will be a while.
