Do as you like bro but remember as you remove the chrome the speed increases. So yes do away with all chrome and badges.

I took the SS off the rear.

Had the 'CAMARO' letters painted black. The front bowtie is also blacked out (on a ZL1 grille).

The rear bowtie has an autobot emblem on it.

In short, do what you want...its your car.

PS - also added an 'L99 SS' decal under the 'CAMARO' letters.

Make your car unique. Who wants their car to look the same as everyone elses?

First thing I did was ditch the ss Badges in favor for the old school slp ss on the front. I'm really thinking I'm going to pull the camaro off the fender ... Just can't decide. I thought about doing the old school v flags in its place. Or since my car looks like the old pace cars, maybe the 2009-10 pace car badge that was out.

I personally like the badges. I plan to put orange vinyl overlays on my bowties to get rid of the gold and prob plastidip my chrome CAMARO letters, not really a fan of chrome tbh. Not sure what I am gonna do about the chrome around the bowties once i place the orange vinyl on.

LBM, sounds like stealth mode can be a case of "be careful what you ask for"!

I like my $5,000 red SS badges. JK, but seroiusly - the SS/RS option cost me $5,000 (I think, who knows, as I lost track of $$$$ a long time ago, LoL!) So why would I not want to show that off?!

But my real point is, do what you want - it's your $$$$$!!

If you have L99 or LS3, you have an SS (v8)

LLT = engine for 2010-11 all v6s

LFX= 2012 engine for all v6s

Saying you have an IBM L99 = Imperial Blue Metallic SS that is an auto
100% Correct!! THX for answering for me!

I'm really considering some old skool 'Camaro' script chrome fender badges. having an 'SS378' badge under them would be nice too

I pulled the front and rear bowties after pulling the tailight bezels and painting them flat black. Then I painted the front bowtie flat black and put a matte clear over the paint. It just brings the front end together, IMO.

The only chrome left is on the quarter panels where is says CAMARO, but I haven't decided whether to also black this out or add flags underneath, old school style.

Simply put, make it yours.

I'm not a fan of debadging a car. I think it looks tacky. But you can change your badges to fit your cars scheme. I am getting rid of the gold bowtie in back and going with a gloss black with red back light bow tie. I'm victory red with gloss black rally stripes. Also going with a red SS emblem up front on a heritage grill instead of the bowtie. In the end, it's what YOU think will look best on YOUR car

I like this style of thinking. This is what makes you a camaro owner

You could probably plastidip the bowties as well and then put the overlay overtop. I would highly recommend looking into work from Lupe. He's doing some paint work for me right now and his style can take your car to a whole new level.
