I'd probably take a real hard look at the new BRZ/86, or maybe the Mustang EcoBoost. I wanted a light-ish RWD sports car that was quick but not too fast and that had back seats for my kids, so those were the top contenders when I tested the Camaro. For the same price though, I think the V6 1LE was WAY better than its competition.

Challenger or Mustang, I don't want Japanese or German stuff.

I must say the 400z is one to look at. Nissan finally making a beefed up z. Performance wise it looks like it will put up numbers very similar to the SS 0-60 and 1/4 mile and it's a sexy looking car and the price point seems decent.

As for the post you quoted, the problem is that The last few years Chevy has not produced a lot of Camaros. So now you got this shortage problem.

There is one large Ford dealer down here that still has brand new 2020 Mustang GTs left over on their lots with thousands off sticker price and lots of 2021 Mustangs too. No shortage of new and used Mustangs right now.

I also don't think Ford was hit as hard with the semi conductors. I mean they got hit good but doesn't seem nearly as dire as GM right now. Fitting for bean counter GM.

I'm not really a brand loyal guy. I mean you wont see me buying junk like Kia, and BMW no way, overpriced.

I do prefer the torque that American muscle cars have though. Camaro, Mustang, Challenger, Corvette got that torque you don't find in many Euro cars. The 400z has beefed up torque too, granted still not nearly as much as our cars.

I was cross shopping the Challenger, 4Runner, S5, M440i, and Silverado.

I'd probably narrow it to S5, Challenger or 4Runner - hat tip to Challenger for availability of the 6spd manual. Maybe Mustang would hit the list again given the insane mod availability.

That's nice, but I've never bought a vehicle based on your opinion and I don't plan to start now.
