Continuing to lighten up that car with all of the carbon fiber, I see. How about all of that plastic on the engine and intake? That might look good.

Would be more effective if it had the capacity spelled out there too.. since the intention is to tell the person doing the oil change what kind of oil to use, while the most common mistake people who have others do their oil for the SS is that they dont put enough in.

Guilty as charged. Considering making some clothing out of the stuff. It can take pounds off the car......

Good point. I also wanted to add a "2" to the dexos. I'll warm up the laser.

Ported TB time

So I ended up doing this to my SS last week:

https://ls1tech.com/articles/ported-...-oem-improved/

Mamo's porting is nice. And I really like the (extra) kick it has with the throttle dead spot it has. Sprinting is a lot more fun now, and I'm really eager to see what kind of results I get from a proper tune (after I get e85 and a ProCharger).

But yeah. I'm all smiles right now.

The test on the old one didn't quite turn out.I was impatient. After messing with it for several hours I gave up.
You can see some of the other experiments I did on it.

I actually think I can laser engrave it but it would require me moving the laser outside for ventilation, and thats a logistical nightmare. Maybe one day.

What did I do? I bought a Camaro!

I hope this is the right place to post what I did in my Camaro! Bought a 2SS auto and went straight to the detailers for ceramic paint protection and tint.

It's a shame they have that stupid book icon in the middle there taking up room. What is that even supposed to mean? Read the manual? Seems super pointless having it there on the cap.

It means to refer to the manual if you attemp to do something using this cap.

Most likely because people have put the wrong oil there, the wrong quantity or even the wrong fluid at all.

Slow starting so I put a new battery in it for $220. Did a AGM Duralast battery. Stock lasted almost 4 years so I cant complain. Batteries never used to be that expensive 20 years ago:(

It's redundant. Either you're the type of person who always looks up exactly what kind of oil to put in the car and how much or you're the kind who wont. A little icon on the fill cap isn't going to change your mind.

It's obviously totally ignored by everyone given how many dealerships even disregard it. You might as well print the specs directly on it.
