mcynet those stripes look amazing. I assume they are not textures like the hashes. I'm still debating if I want to go with stripes but would like to match them to what's on my car already.

holy moly, what is going on with those rims that they look so fantastic? Those are the normal 5 spoke black? What were they polished with? Is it just because of the light pavement

Thanks. Glad you like them. These wheels were on my 2011 convertible and I decided to put them on SSybil because they made the hash marks pop. They are the RS wheels, from 2011, powder coated in Black Chrome finish. When clean, they are killer!

Nice! I thought they looked different. Do you have any other pics? I would like to see more from the side

Those rims really do look good. I have some black chrome camaro letters that would go perfect with those. Hmm.

YOU!! Yes you. I have questions for your face.

Those wheels. I like dem. Yes. I have always been a fan of the early 5th Gen RS wheels.

How did you make them like that? Did you start off with a polished aluminum, bright silver, or bright chrome wheel and then add a black chrome powder coat to them? Or is there another way to get that look?

A dealership near me has a 6th Gen with the split-spoke rims in black-chrome, and it looks AMAZING. I'll add pics a bit later today if I can. But I need to know how to recreate the look!

Tell me. Your secrets.

...please.

Thank you.

They were originally painted aluminum "Midnight Silver". They were then powder coated what they call black chrome. LA wheels or OE wheels are familiar with this finish. Cheers!

Beautiful! Thanks for the info!

Do you think this look would then be best replicated with the bright silver split-spoke wheels, or the gray ones?

I have a 2012. Not sure how these would look on a 2016, but this is the set I got.

Hmm, they have a different version for the 2016: http://www.emblempros.com/inc/sdetail/58336/59719

I would ask the person who you have do the powder coating. My uneducated guess would be go with the painted wheels.

I really like the second set. Put over the Camaro emblem on the fenders? The badge is kind of all alone there.
