1LE specific ramps & lug socket
I noticed two things with me 1LE...
1) Problem: even with some boards in front of my Rhino ramps I was able to push the ramp with the splitter then drop the car down, cracking the splitter. Classic. Solutions: take splitter off, repair, put back on; get a new splitter; take it off and leave if off. Future prevention: Race Ramps. But which size/length do you guys use? there are 56" and 67" and there are one and two piece versions. probably a life-long investment so thinking of springing for the 67" which also offers 2" of height (10" instead of 8" once car seated). 1) problem: even with a long socket, my torque wrench is rubbing against my tire (very close to wheel). solutions: simple problem, so simple solution I hope.. extension? although I haven't seen any before. any other tricks? just be careful? thanks! I bought a Titan Tools 22mm socket from Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/Titan-Tools-2...tan+tools+22mm I'm trying to figure out a way to modify my Rhino ramps. I was thinking of using some 2x10 to get the car up and onto the ramps. |

I went with the 72" 2-Piece Race Ramps and they are plenty could have gone shorter but got a better deal on ththe longer ones. Defiantly get the 2-piece though. So much easier to work under the car without ramps in the way.

Doing it again, now that the quick jack is available I wouldn't buy the Race Ramps again as they are pretty expensive for what they are, in comparison. |

the ramps are pricey but they will last a lifetime hopefully.... and there just isn't much out there to compete. |

Yes, they will last a very long time if you take care of them. They are super light as well since they are made of foam. For a portable ramp I would probably use my Rhino ramps + two 2x4s and a couple rubber mouse pads to keep the ramps from sliding. The mouse pads worked before I got the Race Ramps and Quick Jack on my garage floor that had a slick epoxy. |

How are you guys tightening the lugs back to 140 ft/lbs? I looked at air impact wrenches which seem great for removal, but overpowering for tightening?

Torque wrench, I wouldn't worry about buying an expensive one if all your doing is lug nuts. I have a Craftsman, which I trust, but I do a lot of repairs and rebuilds so I sprung a little more money for the name brand. On the high end would be your MAC, Matco, SnapOn, etc. but you could spend a lot of $ on those.
