2021 Chevy Camaro Adds Two New Exhaust Tips As Official Accessories
The new exhaust tips are offered as LPO-level items, which means they are produced by General Motors, and can be either ordered with the vehicle and installed by the dealer, or purchased post-sale as accessories.
The new tips include either a Black Chrome finish (RPO code VTA) with engraved Bow Tie emblems, or a Carbon Fiber finish (RPO code 5VF) with cutouts showing BowTie emblems on the top of the metal tip underneath the carbon. Installation is a simple bolt-on affair. The automaker even points out that the Black Chrome tips for the 2021 Chevy Camaro reduce exhaust tip temperatures by up to 100 degrees F. https://gmauthority.com/blog/2020/08...l-accessories/ |

I wonder how this will work as an LPO with the dual mode exhaust (not pictured at the referenced link), do they expect the dealership to weld up the new tips?

Looks to me like the tips are for the dual tip exhaust and not for the optional NPP exhaust and they probably clamp on and don’t require welding.

$480 & $650 for exhaust tips??? No thanks, I'd MUCH rather spend the $995 for the NPP exhaust, the 4 pipes look better and sound better than the standard 2 pipe exhaust...

I’m hoping Chevy will release doilies for the bottom of the cupholders next. I hear the 2021 Mustang Mach I and Challenger SRT Super Stock will have them.
