Said goodbye to my Camaro today....

It's finally time to say goodbye to the Camaro life. I've owned 4 over the years. 2 4th gens a 5th gen and a 6th gen.

I've always gone with the Camaro because i felt like it was easily the best value for a performance drivers car that i could get especially in the case of my SS 1LE. That being said though, I've always wanted a Vette but could just never justify the extra money to get one or to settle for an older one. Well today i finally cured the itch for getting my first Vette!

Today i said goodbye to my 6th gen SS 1LE. I traded it in for my new 19 Corvette Grand Sport.

To the OP, please hang around and give updates about the vette.

It's also a personal life goal to own a new or nearly new corvette.

I'll start off by saying i loved my 1LE but it just wouldn't cure the itch for the Vette. I love the removable top on the Vette and miss the T tops of my old 4th gens. Styling is another reason. Dont get me wrong. The Camaro was a great looking car but the GS is on another level for me.

I might have been able to get a bit of a better deal but basically paid $30k otd on top of my trade.

The top pic is such a good example of how good looking wide body c7's and 1le's are. The corvette is sleek and sexy the camaro is muscular and brutish. Love it, depending on my mood I prefer one over the other on any given day.

Hell yea. I was making that same decision. I decided on staying in the Camaro family. I will have a corvette at some point but the 18 1le was shouting at me. Theres only one bad thing about that first picture. Theres a damn ugly FORD in the middle. COngrats

Sad to see you go, but you stayed in the family.

Much better than going to the F word or buying foreign junk.

Congrats! Both are beautiful cars! I'm curious why you didn't wait for for the C8? First year model worries? Good deals on the 2019 cars etc? Best wishes with your new toy!
