Every car I've had launched harder at the track. I think your car may bog a little more with a harder launch. At least my 2010 manual did.
The 6 gen launch is phenomenal both track and street. Meanwhile the dodges, mustangs and M4 are all difficult to launch. Was your 3.5 done with the pressing of the brake to the floor and the gas pedal so the car revs at 1800 rpm and you just lift off the brake and step into the gas. Stock at the track my best run was with me just mashing the gas pedal. Using the launch control cost me a tenth. Not engaging launch control but foot braking and holding gas at around 1700 rpm was tenth worse than the launch control. So, basically, my best technique so far is just mashing the gas pedal like an idiot. My 3.4 was using "mash control."

Launch control for the street. mashing the gas with the foot lightly on the brakes at the track with all nannies off. Not enough to hold the car from accelerating...but enough to keep it from moving forward slightly. The car will move slightly if one simply transfers the right foot from brake to gas. It seems to hit the tires a little bit harder than just letting off and flooring it.
I cant get a good launch on the street without TC/launch control it seems. But then again I haven't practiced it a ton. I get no bog with a hard launch at the track since I did transmission tuning with removal of torque management. When stock with a hard hook I could feel a slight bog/reduction of power even with all nannies off. yeah the 3.5 was holding the brakes and using the launch control just flooring it. |

Best I did on the street was 3.7. This was Sport mode, no burnout, stock tires, traction control on, quickly roll into first and then mash it the rest of the way. Think my wife was in the car when I did it as well.

My best is still 3.9 lightly warming up my f1's. Maybe I should have bought a 4 banger.

This is only about a 1.75sec 60' time. I am curious what a sub 1.5sec 60' time would show for a 0-60.

This is best I've got. Bone stock 2016 SS M6 on stock tires. Just heated em up some on a good concrete road. Never been to the track yet, only had the car a month.

Mine couldn't hit 60 in 2.8 unless I pushed it off a cliff.

I will have to see what mine is next time out. It is hard to get it all to work with the converter. I have gone 1.44 60ft's though. The 1.6 60fts seemed to produce 3.4-6 0-60 average but with taller tires it is all off. It also said I was running 11.7's when I was running 11.0's.
