Thanks! I slightly regret not giving it another shot and going for 9.30’s. We had some better 60’ times that day that would have gotten us there, but the track seemed to be breaking down some and we had already hit the goal we set out for, so decided to try another day.

I think there have been some a little lower. On one pass I got 1.35, and I think I saw someone else with a 1.33 on a 6th gen. I'm pretty happy with it considering it's still just a 17".

I'd be good with those ets and hopefully I'll be right there with you this year. Wish I could do some runs in February but since its 28 degrees here in Missouri and it sucks really bad I guess I won't get any passes till March.

Awesome. Next step for me is to drop a couple pulley sizes and get the boost up to 18-19 psi from 16 psi I think. Just need to add some fuel mods first an hope the A10 holds up.

I replacec the driveshaft with a Gforce and will probably go ahead and do the axle also, then my weakest link will be the tranny. Your car is really killing it, the weight hurts for sure. Mine will be 80 lbs over because the of the 6 pt cage. What class were you running that you had to add weight? We have a long waiting list right now and guess what, I'm not on it. Our customers will get the 2650 first and maybe I'll be able to get one before the Camaro Fest. We just have some other 2650 LS projects that are coming out first since they car so close to the COPO 2650 they decided to bring that one out first.
I was in a 17 inch tire class that was open to all zl1 and ctsv at Cadillac attack. I Had to run up against 15 inch tire cars and 17 inch tire cars with my 18s and was still cutting better 60 foots then they all did. The class had a 4300 lbs weight minimum. I got a break for the stock 1.7 blower 150 lbs so was allowed 4150 but my car is typicality 4020 race weight on my test and tune days. So was able to back up my other 9 second passes with adding the weight this time. I had to go up against 2 full built vengeance racing 416 inch builds and only lost to them by 2ths. They were screaming the zl1 shouldn’t be allowed to run in the same class with them which was hilarious as the few of us there were all stock engines with bolt ons and all the v2 ctsv that ran were a minimum of heads cam packages a few on 416 inch engines ice boxes and drag packs. I still had my stock 20s on the front of it. Lol I think I’m the same weather I’m a drag pack setup away from 9.60s 145 mph range. Like to make a mark with this 1.7 that will stick awhile when I do swap to the larger blower which ever it might end up being. Waiting on this lt5 setup going on a v3 ctsv to see how it performs. The port injection in place and my cost of 4500 bucks for a fully dressed blower is looking better and better considering they have made over 1000whp so far on a stock heads and cam lt5 crate motor recently on only 18 psi. It’s everything else around the lt5 setup and making it work on a lt4 and seeing how much that’s going to entail and cost.
I know this 1.7 is going to go back to a heat pump come summer so all the fun and fast times will soon be limited to most likely low 10s again in the hotter weather and where the big blower no matter who’s make will really be able to make a huge difference over the little 1.7.

That was me in the black bolt on car. I had a few in the 1.30s too they were doing great prep for us but that weather the rain and humidity was making the track slow in the early afternoon. I was actually on a 325-35-18 and in the 1.30s all day except the pass it rained on me right when light dropped that was a 1.47 spinning. I put the solid cradle mounts on mine and I really think it helps the car hook over the stock rubber mounta. I’m getting 60 foots on 18s similar to guys with 15s and a drag pack on the 6th gen.

Trans will be fine just keep the tune so it pulls a little power on the shifts still. I have mine setup so dips just enough so not a full on blast going to the next gear. I build transmissions for a living and the 10 speed is super stout when comes to clutch size and internals. It better then the 8 speeds and a few z06 builds are now in the 8.40-8.80 range with stock transmissions. I think the 8.40 pass is on a 1.28 60 foot. Single turbo build launches on alot of boost and two step and still not broke it. The cars that break are those that the tuner is taking all torque management away on the shift throwing too much pressure at it and making it slam on the shift. It doesn’t need all that to go fast and much safer to let it dip 100-200 lbs of torque. I added very little pressure to my tune mostly for part throttle and left wot stock as it hits just fine as it is.

Thanks for that insight. My tuner tried pushing it pretty hard by dropping a few pulley sizes and it showed 950 RWTQ mid pull on the dyno and shut it down due to what seemed very much like trans slipping. Being a PD blower the power obviously came in really quick, and it just seemed to not be able to hold it. I’d like to see if we can push it a little more, maybe not all the way like we tried the first time, but gain a little more. That or maybe we’ll switch to TT, still investigating that though.
