I’m curious that you are puzzled by this. Is it the word “rotation” since they only switch tires side to side on the SS, or is it that you don’t switch yours at all? I’m genuinely curious. I’ve never seen anyone not switch/rotate their tires, even if it’s only side to side or front to back, if that’s all that can be done on certain tire setups. However, I’ve never seen anyone on these forums puzzled by the notion of “tire rotation” unless I missed the meaning of your post.

JoeCamaro444,

Obviously this guy is trying to get under your skin. You are not alone in wanting a positive dealership experience and expect your car back in the same condition or better.

If I was able to find the one person I can 100% trust with my car I would go to that person every time. Since I have yet to find that person I do all the work I am capable of myself.

I'm so bad that I spend a good amount of time looking for recommendations to get new tires installed and balanced. I have had such bad experiences in the past with wheels being scratched and bad balancing jobs. I finally decided on a place that specializes in working on BMWs. They did the work and I am 100% satisfied. The place is not conveniently located and I get weird looks bringing 1LE wheels into a BMW shop but I don't care.

Keep doing what your doing. Less stress and positive experiences make things a little better. If / when I have a positive GM dealership experience I will post.

THANK YOU, Matthew!
What was wrong with your headliner? Mine is popping it's edge out a little bit on the passenger side, like it was cut slightly too small to be held in by the molding. I've tried stuffing the edge back behind the door molding but it just barely holds and then pops out again in a few days. It's the only thing wrong with my car so far.

Do you have the Goodyear F1 tires? I thought they were directional and couldn't be swapped left<>right?

Thank you for your reply, and I appreciate the good feedback. I hope you find a good dealer service dept/tech to service your Camaro whenever it needs it. It is good peace of mind when you find a good place to be able to trust.

I went with the manual and what I have read on here, and my dealer also recommended switching them side to side. Anything that helps with more even wear and some extra life is what I’m going for. lol

I definitely agree with the OP about finding someone you can trust. So far I've had my car in to the dealer only once, for the transmission cooler line recall. During the test drive afterwards saw on my dashcam that mechanic squeezed in between 2 cars in the local Royal Farms (convenience store) parking lot during a stop. Also afterwards noted several large greasy spots on the car. So, I've learned to do oil changes on my own, and don't plan to bring my car to the dealer unless there is no choice.

BTW, the tires on the 1SS and 2SS are not directional, and should be rotated side to side (I did that myself too).

Right. We wouldn't want that yearly oil change to be done wrong. Only Frank has the capability of doing a tough job like that.

Well, if you read ALL of the other responses on this thread, except for YOU, apparently you’re the only one who feels the way you do. Go figure 🤔

You have the best plan. Go to the dealer only when there is no other choice. 👍🏻

Kinda like you're the ONLY ONE who feels that their camaro warrants only having only a specific tech touch it for routine maintenance. Crazy, youe car must be 1in a million...

Clearly you’re a troll...or slightly illiterate. Good luck in life.

Good luck to you as well. Just remember you're in no position to walk in someone's business and dictate to them how they run it.
