Does wheel size change affect tune
I currently have long tube headers with off road x pipe, intake and a flex fuel tune. I was dyno tuned on the stock wheels that come on our cars. I wanna upgrade to 305’s in the back and 285’s in the front or some d5 forge stars with 305/45/17’s. Will this affect my tune at all? It might be a dumb question, but I’ve heard how it can affect it. Thanks

Depends on the overall diameter of the new tires compared to stock. It might change the torque readings a little and also the speedometer. I think your ok if the diameter is within a half inch of stock.

With the 305/45-17 MTs, the speedometer will read lower if you don't correct for it in the ecm tune. Also the auto shift points will change if the tcm is left alone, mine short-shifted with the tall tires and a locked tcm. Trans tuning is needed if you want to fix that issue.
