Are Front Camber Bolts Needed?

Upon doing research I see that BMR has stated before that front camber bolts arent needed as they got the range needed with oem hardware, but Im curious if it would be easier at the alignment place if I got front camber bolts from SPC EZ CAM XR FRONT CAMBER CORRECTION BOLTS for example. Is the $40 worth it, also would this hardware be better quality compared to the oem bolts.
TIA

No, the upper holes in the struts are slotted. And you can open up those upper holes bigger to allow more camber if you want more than the GM track specs. No way those camber bolts you mentioned will stay tight. The OE hardware is the strongest. But there is a procedure to align the front successfully.

Any competent shop will be able to zero in on the desired camber. There
are threads at the top of the knuckle to allow installation of a small bolt to make fine tuning of the camber easy. Search here on the forums as there is lots of good info on adjusting the front.

The bolt thread size that goes into the aluminum knuckle that is used for camber fine tuning is M10mmx1.5x 50mm long. I leave mine in the knuckle with a little blue threadlocker.
