Parts finally arrived at the body shop on Friday. Earliest appointment I could get was after Thanksgiving so I drop the car off Nov 26th. Fingers crossed!

Hope they don't cut corners during the paint match process. I got my car back last week, paint match was a 100% on point. My guy is a true car guy, he told me before I went to the shop to look at the finished work that if I didn't like the paint match he did then he would keep re painting it until I was satisfied. Hope your shop is as straight forward as mine was, made a huge difference in the experience.

Glad to hear you had a good experience. I hope I'm lucky too! Paint match & not too thin on the clear coat. Maybe I should ask them about it when I drop it off.

-The owner was available every time I called with a concern. -He took close to 50 pictures as the repair process moved along and provided me with those pictures at the end. -He even gave me a card with the exact color combinations and amounts he used to match my paint, in case I decide to go to a different body shop down the road, that body shop will have a road map for how to match my factory paint. - He even dropped my car off at my house himself using a flat bed. - The guy knew and understood how important my car is to me. I hope your experience is as good as mine. There ARE good shops out there, they are rare, but they are out there.

Car is at the shop.
I've been eavesdropping on them with my dashcam. I told them I was paying for a rental out of pocket so I wanted continue to keep and drive my car until all the parts arrived and they were ready for repairs. Everything was ready to go, so I dropped the car off Nov 26th at 10am. The car sat outside in an insecure lot for 2 days before they pulled it into their shop. Ohwell... better than 2 weeks Looks like they've removed the front bumper and driver's side fender.

Dang!! That’s pretty cool that you thought about checking in on them with the camera. If I had one of those I’d be watching them all day long lolol.

And I do! I spy on them like every hour or so. it's called Owl Car Cam So far I like it. It doesn't take up too much room on your dash and it alerts you when your car is bumped or door is opened while you're away. You can say "Ok Presto" while driving and it will save a video clip to the cloud for you to review/edit/post. Or this is done for you if there is an accident. Unfortunately I didn't have it during my accident...

I guess if you don't use that port nothing. But those that hit the track always have something plugged in there. My gauges will be plugged in there or my laptop for data logging. Camera is not something I would want plugged to OBD.
