Well, here's the GS under a car cover. Looks like a dark grey.

Thats more or less what happened last year at the 'fest with the 6th gen convertible. The cars were being unloaded, and those of us that had nothing better to do took pics. Those pics got posted because GM didn't tell us not to. For most of the cars at most of the fests, during most of the unloading/setup process, GM doesn't care what we took pics of. But there were sometimes things that they didn't want us to show, and so they'd tell us what we can't take pics of (well ... politely ask that we refrain from doing so). Last year, there were no such exception mentioned and so the surprise public unveil of the 2016 Camaro Convertible wasn't really a surprise to anyone in attendance. Different stakes here, but the same type of mistake can be made. If anything, it would be even easier. GM knows that a bunch of bored moderators are going to be snapping pics and posting them online, but they probably assume that a race driver has enough discretion to not have to explicitly be told to not share press conference details.

Fingers crossed for a NA 500+ hp engine suitable for a Z/28.
But I expect it to be a plain old LT1

I really hope we'll see a refined/upgraded LT1 in the GS...
I understand perhaps the odds favor it won't have an uprated motor, but I'm kind of tired of the "well the old XYZ had ABC so I expect the new one to also" Both the C5 and C6 Z06 were N/A cars, then BAM..FI C7 Z06. It's obvious that "how it's always been" means little to GM and Team Corvette these days... |

If we see a new LTx, it will be in a new Corvette. This is the best chance we have of something to replace the LS7 and power a 6th gen Z/28.

Look under any non Z06 C7 and you will see it, at least that is my guess. I think an uprated engine may push the price up too close the base price of a Z06 which is $80,000 or so. I mean a base C7 with the Z51 package is $62,000. My guess is they will add Z06 body and suspension bits and price it in the high 60's...

That would make the most sense. No real point in going all the way to Switzerland to announce US pricing on a Camaro option package.
