I find most people who say Dodges are junk have never sit in one, let alone owned one.

The new Dodges are awesome. They also even have a V6 Diesel now, which is something I wish Chevy would hurry up and get to already.

You don't win Truck of the Year Twice by having a shitty product, and this is coming from a guy who drives a Silverado.

You can't really use your experiences in a 94 and 98 as justification to label the new generation of Ram trucks as junk. They are a completely different...

Lmao. Seriously? I doubt you or a previous owner never abused the truck and never had it apart and you blew out 3 of them. If you keep having the same problem maybe its not the trucks...... And a 92 is a completely and totally different truck than even a 03 much less the new ones. Don't talk shit about the best truck on the market.

Weird would of been Eaton or Dana depending if it were 8 3/4 or 9 1/4. Both are junk of course and have been both GM and Dodge's drivetrain for decades.

I understand that. It was the "new" body. It has just left a bad taste in my mouth, ya know?

well, 1 was my fault, overloaded and drove too hard while overloaded. But the others were never overloaded.

Only if its the cummins!!!

the Sure Grip/Open 8 sided pan was a Chrysler Corporate Axle but if you open one up you will see depending on year the Dana or Spicer upbringing (parts). This same axle was the basis for most big axle rear ends from the early 70s up to the late 90s early 2000s. GMs corporate axle was very similar in design. If it wasn't a Dana 60 or 44 it was this axle variation that carried both GM and Chrysler for years. Tear down the axle in a new truck and an AAM and the only difference you will find for the last decade is the carriers to keep you from using a Dodge in a GM or vice versa. You can still interchange if you have the right parts to space the ring gears. AAM axles are referred to know as the corporate axles for both.

If you have some how managed to blow those up, it was not the truck sir, it was the driver doing something stupid. The rear ends are extremely strong and as said the insides are Dana, etc. I have honestly never heard of anyone personally blowing up either size rear end and I know plenty that have taken plenty of abuse on the track or hauling and towing.

Wow...I guess I'm a hard hauler. But honestly, the last one never towed and no more than 800 to 1000 dead load in bed, and even that was for less than 3 miles under 40 mph.

Pinion bearing, every time. Huh......maybe I just need a one ton

My dad has 12 1500 hemi. Great truck seems pretty reliable and rides great, and is a beast in the snow. I prefer my 12 f150 , but would not hesitate to buy the ram.

I don't think GMs new trucks look that appealing, the interior is very nice though. I wasn't a big fan of the outgoing model either though. F150 is starting to look dated though.

WEll the new dodge truck is truck of the yr back to back first time ever for a truck!!! I just purchased one this week..i had thought of getting the GMC truck, but the rear cab doors are too big,I like the option of the quad cab still being around. plus its got 400 hp from the factory with the dual exhaust kit that came on it..
