LT1 model Ideal Winter setup?

Hi All, I am just looking ahead for when I get my 2021 LT1...

I know some guys are running 18's on the SS but had small clearance issues with the back brembos. A spacer fixed that.

With the LT1 having standard brakes in the rear and 4 piston up from, what is the best rim/tire setup.

Trying to keep the price down as much as possible as I would like to go with 18's, same size on all 4 corners. Obviously there there wont be an issue in the back since they are regular brakes.

I have no plans on driving it in a big snow storm, but if I have to go somewhere or get caught at work with a storm mid day, I want comfort in knowing I can get home safely...

Should the 18's of an LT work?

regards,

Jason

No mention of the tires you think you'll use/need/want? You only posted about wheels...just curious

I recommend 18 inch Blizzaks or Michelin Ice X 3. I had both and are really good winter tires.

About the tires....pretty much any dedicated winter tire will suffice. I have Nokean R2's on a aftermarket 18x8 wheel. A friend of mine runs the stock 18's on his LT1 with no issues

I used the Xi3 245/45/19 on my Mustang and it was a good tire I'm only concerned that with an 18 you'll have to use a 45 or even 50 aspect ratio to maintain the overall height and that looks funny (too me).
