You must be looking at the 11920, which I didn’t see the chrome tips listed when I searched that PN. They show the 11920CB for $1,224. SS-exhaust lists the standard 11920 for $1,175.

I don’t recall if you had NPP or not but the correct PN for that system with valves is 11924.

Yes, the different tips are more.

Did you get the NPP version?

Let me know how you like it compared to the NPP
I bought the NPP version for $2,100 on summit racing.....it is the catback system, for the price that everyone keeps referencing $1,100.00 etc is that just for the axle back system because i couldn't find anywhere that had it for that cheap for the CATback system...

Also probably a really dumb question for anyone that has installed the Borla S Type exhaust themselves....in the directions i was reading they tell you too cut the pipe on the right and the left....when they reference the right and the left side is that looking at the car from the rear looking forward from the front looking towards the rear? is the right side the passanger side and the left the driver? they aren't very specific and i'd hate to cut the wrong pipe too short and the other too long if i can't figure out how their referencing right from left....

Generally the left side is the driver’s side.

Add: In America that is.

In the instructions https://www.borla.com/A-35856.pdf they clearly show the left and right (Page 6 - Fig 1). Left is the Driver's side in US.

Although the instructions state to cut 7" on both sides, I had to cut a bit more on the right side (about 15mm) to line the tips properly.

I have the NPP but plan to go non NPP. None of these site show the LT1 model. Just the SS so i would guess they are the same as my exhaust and should fit.

Interesting those weren’t the instructions that the borla website sent me to....I appreciate the help.

Edit: And I’m grateful that borla didn’t send me to those instructions because they aren’t correct for my application....but it was helpful to show me which side they meant was left/right

My assumption is yes.

If you want the loudest possible NPP is the way to go. From my understanding Borla has a similar direct-flow muffler that takeas adnp advantage of the NPP valving. To do otherwise, at a cost, will only reduce the ability to have an option of louder vs quieter.

Someone sent me a PM today wanting to trade my stock NPP for their Borla S type and he is close by. So i said fine with me as long as they both swap out.

I have a great shop that has done around 15 of my cars over the years less than a mile away.
