New ZL1 in house

Very excited that I picked up a new Red Hot M6 yesterday. I was immediately comfortable driving it since it’s so similar to the ‘17 SS 1LE I came from. I love the upgraded interior and features.

Nothing much to comment on regarding performance because of break in, but it drives just like the 1LE.

I believe in a moderately aggressive, but careful, break in.

Any tips, suggestions, or comments that are ZL specific would be welcomed. The car will be a daily driver. No tracking or modding.

Thanks.

Change the rear diff fluid no matter what after break in... you're welcome.

Enjoy and welcome to the club

Every man has, at one point, told this exact same lie word for word since the first car rolled off an assembly line.

Mal, congratulations on the ZL1 purchase and welcome to the ZL1 club here. Some people that own SS Camaros say there isn’t a difference between a ZL1 and SS 1LE but I beg to differ with them. I, like you, don’t intend to do any track events or mods with mine either! For one time in my life I’m satisfied with the performance with my ZL1 and see no need to spend a shitpot of money on mods to make it run faster. Older age kicking in for me and possible retirement in 3 or so years(65)! Enjoy the new hotrod!

Congratulations and enjoy your new rocket ship! I’ve never had the luxury of driving a SS 1LE, but man I love driving my ZL1!

I'm with you Greg, and I'm 72. No difference between a 1LE and a ZL1? Whaaat?!? They must be Mustang guys.

The main reason I don't need the mods is because for speed, I got this. 200 whp and 550 lbs. Do the math.
