Big Dog

Anyone else have a big dog who likes to ride in their ZL1?

My 120 pound German Sheppard always wants to ride with me.

Freaks people out when they see his giant head pop out of a window...

Good looking German Sheperd SteveV! Reminds me of the one I grew up with, lived 13 years before we had to put him down because of his health concerns. Hind legs would give out on him and had a tumor in his belly. I was grown when my Dad got another one and he lived about 13 years too. Took him to Auburn University Vet school and they operated on him a couple of times but his condition got worse and had him put down too. I would be hesitant to put a dog in my ZL1 because trying to get that hair off the seats would be difficult. He is your sidekick so motor on and let him enjoy riding in the beast!!

Yeah, it is a pain in the rump to vacuum his fur out of the carpet and seats.

But he is my best bud after my 2 sons. If his companionship requires a lot more cleaning effort on the part of me and my sons, so be it.

That could be my dog's twin lol. I'd never let her into my zl1 though; she pisses in my suburban everytime she rolls with me lol.

No soapbox, but you dont want to see what happens to that dog if you get rearended. Highly recommend against the uncaged animal in the car idea but just my $0.02. I've seen it firsthand from a friend with a decapitated dog. :( Be careful sir!

I’m the proud owner of not one, but two Saint Bernards.

All I can say is nope, that ain’t gonna happen lol. They go for rides in my 53 Mercury quite often, but physics just wouldn’t allow for Walter or Barbara to fit in the back of my Camaro.

Not a soapbox its actually true...... but without real retails I had one last night that didn't make it in a accident. Not mine was at work. It does happen.

My little buddy REALLY wants to go for a ride in the "Hot Rod"... But he knows there isn't a snowballs chance in hell of him getting in that car!

Instead, he stands guard! (this was 10 minutes after I brought the car home for the first time), he was like "Hey Dad, how 'bout a ride in the spiffy new Hot Rod?!?!?!!?"

My 7 month old 75 pound boxer gets rides in the Truck or Moms (my wife) suv but never in either Camaro or the Vette. And For the record he has a special padded harness that I put on him then a strap that gets clipped to the harness and then clips into the seat belt. He doesn't care what car he is in as long as he is going for a ride. As soon as I get the harness off the hook chaos begins lol.

nice pup pics fellas. I’ve had mine in the Z a couple times to get a groom...true to form, as soon as he gets in, he shakes all the excess hair off.

i vacuum it after we get home, and don’t worry about it because i see how happy he is to go for a ride
