Another Starter problem?

Whelp, looks like I'm the next victim with this issue. Saturday while heading to the Cunningham/Borla event in the morning car started just fine drove about 2 hours in traffic where the fiancee and I made a pit stop at a Starbucks.

When we were going to get back on the road I started the car only to have it be really sluggish almost like it was struggling to start the motor after then which the car just stop starting completely. I open the hood and it had a small of burnt metal smell very similar to a starter gone bad. My lights and everything else electronics in the car was great ruling out that it could be the battery and most likely pointing to the starter since it wont turn over or click at all.

Towed the car from fountain valley all the way to paradise Chevy Ventura thank god for AAA Gold, so Monday the service Techs are in and I get a call about them not being able to get into the ECU cause of the supercharger that was installed. service rep told me it will be a 250 dollar fee to move forward with diagnostics and if ECU is under warranty ill be reimbursed I tell them to move forward cause i really just need to know what is happen to my car. At the end of the day I haven't received a call so i took it upon myself to see what is happening.

the dealer is claiming that the ecu is not sending a signal to the fuel pump thus why the car wont start. what!? wouldn't the car still try to crank over without fuel? I could be wrong. it has been a day and a half and stii no word what the issue could be.

This is exactly why I don't like going to the dealer :/

Especially with mods. Everything ends up pointing back to mods even though logically they two can't correlate.

Had a forum member be told that their NPP rattled because of their roof wrap -___-

You are spot on - heat soak causing slow crank after sitting - hot.

Then no crank, burnt electrical smell.

They just want to make more $, and avoid warranty work, or make it pay well.

1. Meet (face to face) the service manager - tell him your story.

2. Dealer GM

3. BBB.org complaint detailng these facts.
