Worlds Fastest Stock 0-60! Lol

So I have to question the PDR! My experience at the track is the time of the PDR is 1.5 to 2 tenths slower than the time slip from the track. So I was practicing my launch today and got a 2.9 sec. 0-60 MPH.

Assuming you're still running the stock tires?

It's the auto trans, it's super quick, someone I know on Instagram got a 3.2 with a car full of people.

Flat surface. I tried to add the video but couldn't get it to load. I'll work on it.

Were you actually going 60mph or were the tires just spinning up to 60mph?

I really don't have any way to know. I have spun tires many times trying to figure out the best way to launch and got times more in the 4.1 to 4.5 range. When the car spins it also slows the quarter mile time. Wouldn't spinning the tires fool the car into a lower quarter mile time? Or am I thinking of this backwards?

This has been discussed a bunch with the corvette. What has been found is the manual because it shifts right around 60 mph sometimes the tire spin is enough to trigger the 60 mph mark early. In the auto it shouldn't be an issue though as there is no shifts at that point.

What sensor tell the car what the MPH is?

So it appears that you can reach a 60 MPH range while doing a burn out and the PDR will clock it. The sensor must be in the trans. , rear end, or rear tires. I wonder why they don't put it in the front brake rotor!

Like you just posted, I believe it's in the rear wheels that's why it can be activated from spinning.
