Had the turbo-4 as a rental last year. Bit of lag before it spins up. Almost got me in trouble trying to pass.

I recall you saying that as I tested it on the highway. There is a smidge of turbo lag. But it didn’t get me into trouble, maybe because I was ready for it? Passed easily.

I’d like drive the V6 and even the four banger at some point to see what they’re like. Also very curious on a A8 or A10 SS as I have the M6. I’ve heard that auto is very snappy.

Today she got her Saturday bath and we went to a small once a month car show at RK Motors in Charlotte. Those guys have some unbelievable restomods in their shop. Although I did get parked next to a rustang ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Long day done. 5,823 on the odometer at end of trip. Yeah yeah I know Dennis and others have me beat by a long shot. But was a fun day driving to Lambert’s with fellow Camaro club members and enjoying good food.

I may take you up on that offer as the lady and I are planning a trip out that way to visit her brother, drive the PCH, see the redwoods and then end in Seattle. I won’t have my 50 because we’ll be flying there and renting something. We’ve budgeted for a “fun” car (911, GTR or R8) but the one way rentals are kind of dashing that dream because that can triple the cost. And isn’t the weather always great in SoCal haha? Offer is good for you to drive the SS if you’re ever in Charlotte too!

Yesterday I found myself in a remote part of NC and turned off the traction control for the first time. Holy sh** is all I can say. Surprisingly controllable though. The Vettes seem to snap out sideways a lot more and I was fearing that on ours too, but it didn’t at all. I got it out of my system though for a while. Need to save those tires, but that button has been taunting me for over a month now.

Tap it twice slowly. Click...click. then the fun begins. You need to be in Sport or Track mode before clicking though.

That’s launch control? I held the button for 5 seconds or so until everything turned off. I was in sport mode as well.
