The wheels and tires are still staggered. The front and rear tracks are square though.

SS track is 3mm wider in front, not sure if 3mm is significant or not, and why wider in front.
245's front
275's rear

Front track (in/mm):
63 / 1601 (SS)
Rear track (in/mm):
62.9 / 1598 (SS)

This was on the goodyear site maybe it helps?

The Camaro LS and LT models will feature Eagle Sport All-Season tires in size 245/50R18 as the standard fitment, Goodyear said, and the Eagle F1 Asymmetric All-Season RunOnFlat in size 245/40R20.
The Camaro SS features 20-inch aluminum wheels equipped Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 RunOnFlat in sizes 245/40ZR20 (front) and 275/35ZR20 (rear).
Goodyear photoEagle Sport All Season

Both the Eagle F1 Asymmetric All-Season and the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 feature Goodyear’s RunOnFlat technology, which allows consumers to drive up to 50 miles on a deflating or deflated tire at a top speed of 50 mph.

Run flats? Terrible news. Doesn't get much more expensive than them. If one pops, it'll cost a pretty penny for one single tire. You may as well buy four brand new good tires. I wonder if this gets GM a legal pass to cheap out on everything - spare tire, jack and tire inflation kit?

I do not see the F1 Asymmetric 3's anywhere. Are they summer's or all-seasons? If they're making a huge mistake and putting summer's on the Camaro SS again it'll be another brand new car that needs another $1,000 invested in it to be drivable again. Although maybe that's not a bad thing since the stock rims with new tires on them would fetch a pretty penny.

Yep. RFT have terrible "road feel", pretty much numb. My BMW has Conti RFTs which made me realize how bad they are for a drivers car. That will be the first of my mods I'm betting, a new set of tires.

It is stated that the SS with 20's will be summer tires in the playbook.

Another reason to wait till 2017 or 2018 models to see if we get a 1LE or ZL1/Z28 options.

My car running 285's all the way around handles so much better.

You would think with all the hype and R&D that went into this new Camaro that tire size would be optimal for performance right?

Well, sir, that really blows. The P Zero's were a terrible stock tire, and runflats...will be even worse. Even more expensive, even less of a performer in dry conditions and terrible in everything else. GM needs to learn to make these summer tires an OPTION so they can still play magazine numbers games while still delivering a usable product to the public.

I can't tell you how much better this car performs with comparatively "el cheapo" GMax's on them vs the stock P Zero's. These GMax's are the best tires I've ever owned.

20" wheels all round!?!?!?

That's ridiculous. THere is no need for a 20" wheel.

20" tires are cheaper than 19 and 18's are small. I'm glad they went 20, but with a slightly smaller tire than last gen.
