Voltage info on a ZL1

Hi guys,

Is there a way to get the voltage info on a Zl1 ?
Try to explore all the displayed pages, can’t find any batt info.
Too bad if we lost this display from a SS to a Zl1…
May be useful to know when getting low voltage to anticipate a lot of troubles…

Intake air temperature would be also nice... Dodge has it, plus few other, more gimmicky gauges.

Yeah I have been wondering the same thing about the voltage gauge too.

The good news is that it’s super cheap and easy to rectify this omission with one of these (plus add two more USB charge ports in the process)

Can't understand why GM did that. I always plug-in my laptop and HPT, so I can see all the data. Voltage hovers around 12v until WOT when it goes to 15.00/15.20v. It's true that the ECM does not like low voltage.

Yep. I guess many don't go looking through the pages.

On the ZL1 the battery voltage gauge is replaced with the boost gauge. As mentioned, you can still see the battery voltage under performance pages.

Speaking of this why does my reading sometimes show 14 or so volts and then other times it drops below that middle mark? It appears to be somewhere around 12.

The system checks when the battery requires charging depending on load. If the battery voltage is good and the load is relatively low you will see it around 12v. You will also notice the windows raise and lower a little slower as a result.

If the battery requires charging, then you will see it up at 14v. It is a smart system to help maintain the life of the battery.

Thank you, I've read it does have sort of smart charging alternator, it just threw me off when I start the vehicle and it's sometimes at 14 and sometimes lower.

Thanks for the confirmation. 👍

I went all the pages including performance
No joy
If you have a picture of this specific display it’d be nice to tell us where, didn’t find it

Okay I will check it out. I thought the reading was somewhere in the pages but didn’t take much time searching thru them. Thanks raptor!

I wonder if the availability may have changed base on year. Maybe when when the Infotainment UI was updated in 2019? I will grab a pic from my 2021 and post it.
