Has anyone leased one yet?
Interested to see what sort of deals people are getting.
I got quotes recently on a 1ss - 38k msrp , around 600 a month, which I think is just absurd. Just curious to see what others have gotten. |

Long thread but some good info http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=431378
And yes, $600 is absurd. You could do a 72 month purchase with a $38k MSRP for less than that. |

I looked at and test drove a 2LT with a sticker price of $39,630.
For a two-year 10k/year lease I was quoted right around $530 IIRC. |

I looked a lease option as they do have a lease now available. On a $48K MSRP with $4K down, looking at $541 a month.
I was mainly looking at options as I wanted to see what it would take via financing vs. leasing to get the payment under $550 a month.

My monthly payment for my C6 is less than 600/m purchase! Why would you want to lease and never own the damn thing for that price?

In my case, I own my C7 Vette but lease my daily driver which the 1LT RS will be. My goal is to lease for under $300/mo.

The BMW will always have a higher residual than the Camaro will but GM will easily be able to beat BMW's money factors if you give it some time. And as Someone who drives a 3 series, you will regret getting one if what you are looking for is something like a Camaro. I can't wait to be done with mine. I like the car for what it is, but it turned out to not be what I was looking for. The Harmon-Kardon stereo is to die for though. I will miss that. My wife has a Bose in her car and it is nothing compared to the HK in the Bimmer.

Yeah, bad idea to try to lease a new one yet. Need time for the residual and money factors to settle in. I am leasing a loaded 2013 2SS 1LE ($43k) MSRP, with just drive off fees for $400 per month plus tax. I heard the residual that GM financial is using for the new SS is around 58-59%. When I leased mine the residual was around 62-63%. Sometimes manufacturers don't offer attractive lease deals on certain cars so they don't flood the market and lower the values. This has traditionally been the case with the Corvette, however I would figure GM would want to sell a lot of Camaros so if they want to reach the typical leasing buyer then they better come up with something otherwise those folks will get better deals with Lexus, BMW, etc.

Also to the other bmw poster , I was looking at the M235 and would suggest it, lease deal is around 550-600 per month and it's quick. |
