I think it's NA.
Lt1. Maybe a bump in power.

I think naturally aspirated but it could possibly be a turbocharged setup, I thought I heard a slight whistling noise on one video but it could be just the aero playing tricks on me. I do not hear any supercharger whine at all.

I didn't hear any, but I didn't hear any on the ZL1 videos either. That LT1 really doesn't whine that much.

The fact of it is the front end of the Z/28 prototypes don't have the extra lower side fascia air inlets like what's on the ZL1 which leads me to the conclusion that it's naturally aspirated. Forced induction would not require less air flow for cooling but more like the ZL1 has in place.

You're not getting a new LS7 equivalent. To get the kind of HP everyone wants the Z/28 to have it's going to be FI. Since GM already has a HIPO FI engine (LT4) that's whats going in there. Hey I could be wrong, but Vegas would give me the odds.

What kind of HP does everyone want for the Z/28?

I definitely don't think it needs 640HP that you get from the LT4. For me 527HP and 430 lb ft would be sufficient.

I think this is the most likely scenario ^

My 2014 has the same sound in light throttle, it has slight whistling sound like that car, but i know its the mufflers making that sound.

I voted no blower whine, but there is no way theres is another engine in production without us knowing some details about it. The voodoo has been "known" a while before the car IIRC.

I still hope but I still can swap a LS7 in my Camaro and be happy!

The engine in question is without a doubt is to be based on a lower hp version of the engine GM was trying to get through emissions on the Corvette since we only need about 550 hp in my opinion and not 600 plus. I could be wrong though.

Engine will be N/A. It not the power that makes it fast.
They went crazy with Transmission & Driveline Tech, Huge Brakes and a Suspension that will keep the Z/28 on the track like glue and get every FT./LB. To the ground coming out of the corner.
That is how Porsche did it all these years.

550HP - 500+ Ft/Lbs N/A

The inlets are almost the same size between the ZL1 and Z/28. Half of the ZL1 inlet is closed and includes the LED foglamp.
