These port injection setups are proving to be a good fueling option for FI cars.

Thanks for sharing your experience and the video. Nice job!

Should have come from the factory with dual injection

This is what I have on my 2022 Lt1 Camaro with 2300, TooHighPsi port injection w/Motiv Reflex controller, thpsi 10 rib pulley/tension system, Rotofab, E65 and made 707/662 on a bone stock Lt1, stock A10 and drivetrain, stock Lt1 fuel system, the only addition is JMS boost pump. Ran 9.86@142 on 10.5 lbs of boost. It's the ticket to go fast. Drive like an NA car or Stock Lt4 until you gotta get on it, great street manors. Thanks for posting Matt, great video.

Can you add these to basic bolt on zl1 and be able to run full e85? Does it require any pump upgrades to accomplish full e85?

If that's discussed somewhere can you post a link. I really want to run e85 without mixing and not spending 5k+ on a fuel system.

The plates, plus injectors, controller, installation, tuning, & JMS voltage booster for the in tank pump means you’re at $5K anyway. But that’s still the best deal out there for fueling. A good set of DI injectors (+52/+65) are $5K by themselves…

Hmm I guess I figured I could do the install, looks somewhat straight forward. Probably not.

Around $3000 for plates, controller and jms booster, flex fuel sensor. Am i missing something?

I need to tune the car regardless, so I don't really count that towards the fueling price.

If I could do intake, headers, and the above mods to run full E85. That would be nice.

Edit:. Forgot the injectors around a 1k...yep that's getting expensive.

Nope, pretty much on the mark price wise. That's basically what my car has and I run E65. Drives great, really nice street manners and fast as hell at the track. I still have the stock exhaust on my Lt1 and makes over 700 rwhp. There is a video of the wiring install on youtube for the Camaro and Ctsv.

Any problems ever with transition?

Some hits might be perfect and some hits maybe a slight bog or hesitation on a Pull? But all in all perfect transition under acceleration?

I mean the principal is the same as the ZR1 but certainly the the port and di injection computers communicate with each other better rather than just adding an aftermarket ecu that specifically running the port side.

There must be hours and hours of tuning on where to bring in the injectors and at what rates and so on?

care to explain to the people that don't have this setup? and the different types of ecu out there to do this?

The port comes in about 6500 on the Maf scale. Its a smooth transition that works very well and easy to tune, most will be somewhere close to 30 percent PI and 70 percent DI on fueling. Mike did mine in a matter of a couple hours at the Ls Fest including the wiring. We have done some additional tuning since on the dyno and track because we increased the boost. Yes I was a port denier a few years back because I didn't need it at the time nor did I understand much about it. Its a great system that most anyone can install and for sure priced right. I'm sure Matt will chime back in with his information as well.

The ZR1 may have the port & DI hardware but not really comparable otherwise. The LT5 port system only ran during Cat Over Temp (COT) since the mixture goes richer than what the LT4 DI system could keep up with. The PI system didn’t integrate during normal non-COT WOT runs…which was a waste of a nice factory integrated PI system in my humble opinion.

I believe you can make the LT5 PI system still activate at a set point aside from COT.

You will want to upgrade the low side with either an aux pump or bigger tank pumps(dual/triple) for full E85.

With a tune, I’m sure you are right. But not from GM was my point. Which was crazy IMO.

Having seen stock cam cars get out to around 800-WHP, with just near-full-E', would a JMS hang in there, if there was no ambition, later, to go any further with mods? I literally mean no changes beyond intake, 2650 (with the stock 90mm pulley for around 15-16-psi), and literally nothing else on the motor.
